You’re in good company.

The folks that Jesus used to hang out with have always gotten into this kind of trouble.

Yesterday we talked about cooperation, people who will discredit you for personal gain. This message addresses those who seek to discredit the name you represent. It’s like an embassy bombing — don’t take it personally. Some will discredit you as an God’s ambassador not because of you but because of who you represent.

I’m the kind of gal who wants everyone to like me. As a Texas native, I’ve never met a stranger. It’s taken me 50+ years to finally accept that there are many who will be friendly, but that I should not mistake that for friendship. I mentioned yesterday the sad story about a friend who has betrayed by a woman at work. Sadly, I wasn’t surprised to hear that because in meetings with top leaders I’m hearing that betrayal by women is one of a leader’s top concerns.

In my experience, the reason behind those who talk trash about me ir unfriend me for political gain is still insecurity. When you report to the highest authority in the universe, it doesn’t really matter what people think about you. Take heart when people criticize you. It means you’re doing something right.

It’s just a few days away, but it’s not too late to join us on September 20 to kick off the 4word Colorado Springs fall series on rest for weary working women. Register here.
